Tonight Connor saw the picture of Judas' kissing Jesus in his child Bible, so, he asked why wAs Judas kissing Jesus. We read the story and I was amazed by his questions. He did not understand what "betray" means- so, I tried to use the story to explain that Judas, as a friend. Was not expected to give him away to the Pharisees. So, he asked: why was Judas his friend to begin with?
Yep- I was stumped.
"I really don't know, son."
.... He also asked why did Jesus not call the angels to rescue him. Yep! Amazing conversation! He thinks so hard about things! Hopefully he can understand that Jesus chose not to because he loves C. :)
